Mike Stephens, MA, BCBA, LBA, Regional Supervisor
Mike Stephens has been a Behavior Specialist with Learning ARTS since June 2012. He attended California State University, Fresno where he received a Bachelor's degree in psychology in 2006 and a Master's degree in psychology with an emphasis in ABA in 2012. His Master's thesis involved video modeling to teach parents to better implement behavior intervention strategies. In October 2012 Mike earned his BCBA certification. He has worked at the Central Valley Autism Center at Fresno State and in a hybrid school/early intervention model for the KC Kids STARS program at Kings Canyon Unified School District. Mike currently works out of the Merced office for Learning ARTS and has assisted in developing a clinic in the Merced area. He also does some consultation work for his local school district in Ahwahnee California. After work he stays busy with his 3 wonderful children.

John Gagnon, MA, BCBA, Regional Supervisor
John Gagnon has been working with individuals with autism, their families, and community for over ten years in California and with Learning ARTS for eight. In 2012 he received his Master's in Psychology and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2014. He is currently the Regional Manager and BCBA for the greater Bay Area, dedicating himself to a vast array of patients and expanding to service as many families as possible. His programs focus on positive relationship building through Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and the incorporation of parents into the therapeutic environment for the success of the family structure. John finds personal value in: "Being an intricate part of the development of our patients and witnessing their abilities grow through the implementation of our program alongside the concentrated efforts of their families."

Kimberly Rowley, MS, BCBA, Regional Supervisor
Kim Rowley left her special day class to work for Learning ARTS in 2000, after experiencing the behavior transformation produced by Dr. Brandon and the application of ABA in the classroom. Kim has served as a Behavior Specialist, RDI Consultant, classroom teacher for Learning ARTS, A Behavior Analyst, currently serving as the Regional Supervisor for the Sacramento area. Kim possesses a Bachelor's degree in Behavior Sciences, a Master's degree in Special Education, has completed course work in both a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and special education mild to moderate credential, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) coursework. Kim possessed certification in Relationship Development Intervention (RDI). Kim celebrates transformations that occur with each and every patient.

Hanna Wolde, MS, BCBA, Regional Supervisor
Hanna has been working for Learning ARTS since 2006 as a Behavior Technician and Behavior Specialist. Currently, Hanna is the Behavior Analyst and Regional Supervisor for all Learning ARTS programs in the Central Valley. Her responsibilities include: designing, implementing, and evaluating programs; supervising Behavior Specialists and Therapists; training; overseeing and reviewing clients' assessments and behavior intervention plans; tracking clients' progress; and providing parent training and education. Hanna received her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from California State University, Fresno and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Hanna's Master's thesis topic was, “The application and the effect of errorless teaching procedures on rate of skill acquisition for children with autism." She presented her research at multiple state and national conferences including the California Association for Behavior Analysis, Association for Behavior Analysis- International, and presented a poster at the Nevada Association for Behavior Analysis. She also worked for Fresno Unified School District as a consultant who provided direct and consultation services to students and school staff related to Positive Behavior Support Plans by analyzing data for functional behavior assessments, implementing class-wide and individual behavior support plans, and training teachers and other support staff to implement such programs.

Amenaghawon Ahmed, MA, BCBA
I graduated with my Master's degree in Child Development from Sacramento State University in May 2012, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in February 2016. I began working as an in-home therapist for children with Autism in June of 2010 and have stayed in the field ever since. I joined the Learning ARTS team in January 2015 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am proud to say I belong to a team of professionals dedicated to the quality of service for children with special needs. I look forward to a long future ahead with Learning ARTS and continuing to learn and grow along the way. I am glad to be able to continue to provide quality services to the children and families I work with, and advance the field through disseminating my knowledge of evidence-based ABA practices.

Ashleigh Guich, MA, BCBA
Ashleigh has experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis as a 1:1 paraprofessional, Behavior Specialist and Behavior Analyst. Ashleigh attained a Master's degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2014, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2015. She also attained a Bachelor degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication in 2011 from the University of California at Davis. Ashleigh enjoys the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and working with Learning ARTS to provide the highest level of individualized services for each client. Ashleigh is an avid equestrian enthusiast who enjoys riding and spending time with her four horses at her ranch in Northern California.

Brandon Needens, BCaBA
Brandon graduated from the University of California, Merced with a Bachelors of Science in Cognitive Science in the summer of 2012. Soon after he was hired on with Learning A.R.T.S. in the fall of 2012 as a Behavior Technician. While working as a Behavior Technician he decided to begin his Master's in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. In the Winter of 2016 Brandon passed his certification test and now works at Learning A.R.T.S. as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. In his off time he enjoys going to the movies and collecting comic books.

Jessa Jansma, MA, BCBA
Jessa obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Science from UC Irvine and began working in the field shortly after. She continued to pursue her passion for ABA and received her Master's degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University. Jessa became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2015. She has worked in the school, home, community and group home settings with individuals 2-55 years in age. She currently works in the greater Sacramento area. On the weekends Jessa supports her other passion as a gymnastics coach. She enjoys board games and watching local improv.

Jacqueline Figueroa, M.Ed., BCBA
Jacqueline Figueroa, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for Learning ARTS. She received her Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University and her bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders. She has over 15 years in the field of ABA. She started working at the age of nineteen as a behavior therapist, a couple years later she moved into a Supervisory role, then Program Manager and more recently a Behavior Analyst. She's worked in-home, clinical and school based setting. She lived in Southern California and moved to the Central Valley a little over two years where she became first time mom. She enjoys spending family time with her husband and nineteen month old son.

Tania Izquidero, MS, BCBA, LBA
Hello, my name is Tania Izquierdo and I am from Reno, NV. I started working at Learning ARTS in 2011 as a behavior technician while I was completing my associates in psychology at Truckee Meadows Community College. In 2013 I got promoted to a behavior specialist as I graduated with my bachelors in psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. By this time I knew that I loved what I did and wanted to advance in the field and within Learning ARTS. I graduated with my masters in ABA specializing in autism from the Sage Colleges in 2015. I took my exam shortly after graduation and became a BCBA in November 2015. Since then I have also become an LBA in NV. Reno has always been a small area, but in the recent months we have begun to grow and I am excited to see how far we can grow Learning ARTS in the upcoming years. The most memorable moment for me throughout the years is that moment when I taught my first patient to tie his shoes back in 2011. The smile on his face and the excitement of the family, priceless!

Kelly Alvarez, Senior Director, Operations
Kelly Alvarez came to Learning ARTS in 2006. She brought with her 25 years' experience in business as a business owner and upper management employee. Kelly's experience in teaching stretches over 8 years. At Learning ARTS as Executive Director she oversees all day to day business operations.

Kelly's interest include: family, long walks on the beach, Broadway musicals, and cooking.

Jeff Angstadt, Director of IT
Jeff Angstadt is our IT Director. He brings 24 years of IT business solutions experience to the team at Learning Arts. If asked, he's most proud of maintaining his servant leadership throughout the IT trends of the day. He is passionate about think-tanks and team collaboration and relies heavily on daily and weekly "sprints" to move IT project along.

Erin Kneisel, Director of Marketing and Credentialing
Erin was born and raised in Salinas where she attended Hartnell College. She worked as an Estimator in the Autobody industry for 7 years and then as a Sales Representative for Advertising and Document Technology for the past 12 years. Last year Erin decided to try the “admin" side of things and joined the Learning ARTS team to handle their Credentialing and Assistant to the Executive Director. She really enjoys working for Learning ARTS and so thankful to be a part of such an awesome team. On the weekends you will most likely find Erin outside enjoying the sun, hanging out with her family watching them in whatever event or sport they are participating in at that time. Life is good!

Florence Kurtilla, Human Resources
Florence Kurttila has been with Learning ARTS since October, 2014. She has had multiple positions while at Learning ARTS, including Behavior Technician, Human Resources Assistant, Human Resources Assistant – Benefits and Human Resources Generalist. She has taught college level classes at Heald College, Humphries College and substitute teaching at UCSF. Many of the classes taught were in the medical field as Billing / Coding, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Medical Ethics and Medical Transcription. She comes to Learning ARTS with over 26 years Human Resources experience and holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Human Resources Management. She is a current member of SHRM and SAHRA and is HRCI Certified as a PHR, PHR-CA and SHRM Certified as an SHRM-CP and has maintained these certifications for over 12 years. Adding to the Human Resources element, she has been employed as a Church Administrator and Bookkeeper for two area businesses.

In her spare time, she is a Patient / Research Advocate for the Southwest Oncology Group and is a Legislative Advocate for both SHRM and the American Cancer Society. As a research advocate, she represents the patient voice and reviews several protocols and research grants related to cancer, genetics and personalized medicine.

Chris Bohannon, Director of Finance
Chris Bohannon joined Learning ARTS in 2015, bringing more than 25 years' of experience in financial management and banking. In his role as Finance Director, Chris is responsible for financial planning, reporting, medical billing, collecting and the treasury activities of the company.

Prior to joining Learning ARTS, Chris capped off a 15+ year banking career of commercial lending and portfolio management as a Senior Relationship Manager with JP Morgan Chase. Prior to banking, Chris's financial management experience included: public accounting with Price Waterhouse, international finance with NEC, and chief financial officer duties with AKT Properties.

Chris received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento and obtained his CPA while working for Price Waterhouse.

Cindy Turk, Intake Specialist
"Hi, My name is Cindy Turk and I am the Patient Intake Specialist here at Learning Arts. I am responsible for all the referrals and intakes that come in. I am a wife and mom to two children, one of which is Autistic, so I understand the ABA world from both the parent side and the provider side. I have been with Learning Arts for 3 years and have witnessed many great success stories with the children we work with. My hobbies include Scrapbooking, Music, and Reading. But my biggest passion is being an advocate for others and paying it forward."

Nicole Dedinas, Controller
Nicole Dedinas joined Learning ARTS in July of 2015. Previously she was the Staff Accountant at a copier/document technology company for almost 9 years and before that did accounting for one of the world's largest semiconductor companies. Nicole is responsible for Accounts Payable, Payroll, Collections and any other Accounting tasks thrown her way. She has enjoyed working with the amazing group of people and the challenges of Learning ARTS. In her off times Nicole is mother of two boys 14 and 12 years old so they keep her busy.

Jenee Watts, Senior Regional Recruiter
Jenee Watts is our Senior Regional Recruiter. Prior to joining our team in early 2016, she was in Sales & Operations Management for the past 16 years. She thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys stream-lining processes. On the weekends, you can find her camping with her family or hanging out with friends. She is very excited to be a part of the Learning ARTS family.

Mary Olson, PCC Supervisor, Billing
Mary Olson joined Learning ARTS in July 2015. Previously, she was an Account Consultant/Public Relations Specialist for a Fortune 500 outsourced company specializing in Small Business acquisitions. Mary is responsible for stream-lining Patient Care Coordinator processes which include Contracts, Authorizations, Claims and Case Management. Mary is thrilled to be part of the Learning ARTS team, she enjoys working with a diverse, creative, and hardworking group of people. Mary is grateful for every opportunity to grow, and to make the lives of our families easier. In her free time, Mary enjoys the outdoors, dancing, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Will Brandon, Phd, BCBA-D, LBA, Corporate Officer-President and CEO
Dr. Will Brandon has been working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities for the past 20+ years and is the founder of Learning ARTS. Dr Brandon has a Doctorate in Early Education, a Master's degree in Special Education, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. He is also currently working on a second Masters in Psychology.

Dr. Brandon is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctorate, a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of Nevada, a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in Special Education, and holds several California Teaching Credentials. He has been recognized for teaching excellence from the U.S. Congress and from the State of California. Dr. Brandon has sat on several state and local committees including the Superintendent's Autism Advisory Committee (Department of Education) that helped develop protocols for school based services.

In addition to his work with Learning Arts, Dr. Brandon has been an adjunct professor at National University where he taught graduate level coursework in Behavior Analysis and Assessment; and at the University of Phoenix where he taught Gifted Education and Teaching Mathematics. Dr Brandon has also been a guest speaker and presenter at numerous conferences and symposiums including the California Association for Behavior Analysis. Laserfiche, and various educational and support group seminars.

Lara Brandon, MS, Corporate Officer-Secretary
Lara Brandon came to Learning ARTS in 1998. She has had multiple positions at Learning ARTS. Most recently, Lara has been facilitating after school social groups. Prior to doing the social groups, Lara was working with RDI (Relationship Development Intervention) clients and she was the Director of Family Services. She received her RDI Certification in 2008. Lara has a MS in Educational Counseling and received a PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential from National University in 2000. She received a BA in International Relations with a minor in Japanese from U.C. Davis in 1993. Lara enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exercising and trying new things.
