BIS - Behavior Intervention Services
Current research shows BIS to be an effective and appropriate intervention in the treatment of dangerous, inappropriate, or maladaptive behaviors. Learning ARTS will utilize the technology of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to decrease these behaviors and teach replacement skills. Learning ARTS uses only ethical practices (outlined by the California Association for Behavior Analysis) to target behavior change. Learning ARTS’ goal is to train parents in reinforcement procedures and the implementation behavior plans. Our ultimate goal is to assist them in developing the skills necessary for lasting and desirable changes in the behavior of their children.
Learning ARTS anticipates that 100% of those children targeted for behavior change will decrease dangerous, inappropriate or maladaptive behaviors to a manageable level as long as their parents are actively involved in implementing the intervention plan and carrying out the recommendations of the BIS consultant.
